Peer Review Policies

Peer review is a fundamental quality assurance mechanism for the Asian Journal of Applied Commerce and Strategy. In this process, experts from relevant fields critically evaluate submitted manuscripts on various aspects such as clarity of presentation, accuracy and rigor of methodology, proper citation and documentation and the overall contribution and impact on the fields of commerce, business strategy and applied economics. Reviewers’ informed assessments are vital to maintaining the academic integrity and excellence of the journal.

Typically, the peer review process takes approximately 7–8 weeks to complete.

The journal primarily follows a single-blind peer review model, where reviewers remain anonymous while the authors’ identities are known, ensuring unbiased editorial decisions.

Based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations, manuscripts may be returned to authors for revision. Revised manuscripts are then reassigned to reviewers for evaluation of the changes made. The final decision to accept, revise or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Double-Blind Peer Review

At the author’s request and with the approval of the Editor-in-Chief, the journal also offers a double-blind peer review option. This process maintains anonymity for both authors and reviewers, further promoting impartiality and objectivity in the review process.
